Self-Driving Vehicles Could Benefits Disabled
A recent study by the Ruderman Family Foundation in Boston highlighted how self-driving cars can benefit individuals with disabilities. According to the study, not only would the vehicles make it easier and more cost-effective for people with disabilities to travel, but it would open up a plethora of new job opportunities.
While there are still more studies and research to be conducted, this is very promising news for individual with quadriplegias and other individuals with disabilities – and their caregivers as well! Just imagine the possibilities.
Accessibility Services, Inc. will be following this research very closely to determine how our autonoME environmental control unit (ECU)/speech generation device (SGD) package might complement – or even integrate – with self-driving vehicles.
